Exceptional 1908 Liberty Five, MS66
1908 $5 MS66 NGC. Fully struck in all areas with vibrant mint luster. This is an extraordinary type coin from the final year of the long-running Coronet series. The eye appeal far exceeds the stated grade, which is already considerable. A strong magnifier will reveal a few tiny marks, but none are apparent with the unaided eye. The luster is exceptional, soft and frosted with a slight bit of reddish patina around the rims. Census: 49 in 66, 7 finer (4/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25ZE, PCGS# 8418, GSID# 8954)
