    Description

1843-C $5 -- Cleaned -- ANACS. AU55 Details. Variety 2. The 1843-C Liberty half eagle claims a mintage of 44,277 pieces and has a surviving population of 225-250 pieces in all grades. The present coin shows just a trace of wear on the well-detailed design elements and the lightly abraded surfaces retain some satiny mint luster, despite the effects of a prior cleaning.
