    Description

1843-D $5 Medium D -- Damaged -- NCS. VF Details. Variety 10-G (formerly 10-H). An abrasion on the reverse field beneath OF is the source of the NCS designation. Peach-tinged luster at the reverse border suggests that the soft definition on the portrait is primarily due to the strike instead of wear.
