A relatively plentiful Dahlonega issue, the 1844-D half eagle is ideal for type collectors seeking a single coin from this mint. Mint State pieces are scarce, but this Choice XF coin is collectible. Original olive-gold surfaces display vivid orange-gold luster in the protected regions, complementing a lack of bothersome abrasions.
