    1891-CC $5 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Variety 2-A. The date is positioned left, the 1 is repunched, and the ribbon is broken under WE. This late-date Carson City half eagle is the most often seen five dollar gold issue from the Nevada facility, claiming a record-high mintage of 208,000 coins. Near-Gems are very scarce but still within the realm of possibility, while Gems are extremely rare. Frosty luster glows from rose-gold surfaces that show boldly defined motifs. Die cracks encircle the reverse legends, and a couple of copper alloy spots occur on each side. Population: 85 in 64 (4 in 64+), 1 finer. CAC: 16 in 64, 0 finer (8/16).(Registry values: P1)
