Description

1883 No Cents Liberty Nickel, MS67+
Finest Grade Achieved

1883 5C No Cents MS67+ PCGS. As sometimes seen on this first-year issue, the obverse fields are more prooflike than satiny or frosted. The raised elements show considerable mint frost, for great eye appeal. The reverse tends toward a more traditional texture -- exceedingly smooth, but satinlike and not quite as reflective. Both sides are razor sharp and free of any distracting marks. A touch of golden toning at the rim frames light, lilac-gray centers. Tied for finest at PCGS. Population: 8 in 67+, 0 finer (1/20).
