Well-Struck Near-Gem 1885 Liberty Nickel
1885 5C MS64 NGC. The key to the Liberty nickel business strikes came in the third year, where low mintage and few kept combined to produce a contemporary rarity. The lustrous surfaces on this near-Gem are well-struck, silver-gray with a blush of rose. A couple of minor abrasions are consistent with the grade.
