1885 5C VF30 NGC. The 1885 mintage was low, and relatively few pieces were set aside in Victorian-era America. Examples are certified by NGC and PCGS in grades as low as Poor 1. The present piece is vastly nicer, since most of the star radials are clear. Cream-gray overall with occasional mild granularity near the rims.(Registry values: N991)
