Description
1890 Nickel, Lightly Toned MS66+
A Condition Census Registry Coin
1890 5C MS66+ PCGS Secure. Ex: Rafferty. With regards to
toning and luster quality, this high-end Premium Gem is visually
similar to the lone MS67 PCGS coin, which we placed in 2015 for
more than $16,000. This piece is well-struck, and only a tiny mark
near the back of Liberty's neck prevents a Superb Gem designation.
Gold, lavender, and powder-blue hues decorate frosty surfaces on
each side. Population: 36 in 66 (9 in 66+), 1 finer (10/17).From The Rafferty Collection of Nickel Coinage. (Registry values: N1793)
Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22PM, PCGS# 3851, Greysheet# 2955)
Weight: 5.00 grams
Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
