Description

1895 Nickel With Delicate Toning
A Registry-Grade MS66+ Example

1895 5C MS66+ PCGS Secure. The 1895 Liberty nickel is rare but actively traded in MS66, fueled by a market for Registry Set coins. Plus-graded pieces such as this are extremely rare and only a single finer example has been seen. Radiant cartwheel luster on frosty surfaces complements delicate champagne toning on this piece. Stars 6 and 7 are a trifle weak, but the lower wreath is well-defined. Population: 34 in 66 (3 in 66+), 1 finer (10/17).
