Description

1912-D Liberty Nickel, MS66+
Only Denver Mint Issue

1912-D 5C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The Denver and San Francisco Mints produced Liberty nickels in 1912, and those are the only branch mint issues in the series. Denver Mint type collectors have no other option, and this piece is a remarkable representative for those collectors. The strike is a trifle weak in the usual locations, especially the ear of corn at the lower left part of the wreath. Both sides have full satin brilliance that shines through intense rainbow toning. Population: 95 in 66 (24 in 66+), 2 finer. CAC: 13 in 66, 0 finer (12/24).(Registry values: N1793)
