Description

1912-D Nickel, Pastel-Toned MS66+
None Finer at PCGS

1912-D 5C MS66+ PCGS. Lush waves of pastel lavender, blue, and gold patina enrich each side of this pristine Superb Gem 1912-D Liberty nickel, the only Denver issue in the series. The strike is quite sharp throughout, and the surfaces are free of distraction, as required. Although the 1912-D is overshadowed by the low-mintage 1912-S, examples in the Plus-designated Premium Gem grade of this PCGS example are outright rarities. Population: 38 in 66 (3 in 66+), 0 finer (11/15).
