Description

1912-D Liberty Nickel, MS66+
Exceptional Quality for the Grade

1912-D 5C MS66+ PCGS. As the first nickel struck at the Denver Mint, the 1912-D is often weakly struck -- but not here. Both obverse and reverse are sharp, including the problematic ear of corn. Vivid iridescent toning covers both sides, alternating wheat-gold and deep-lilac shades as the coin rotates in light. Cartwheel mint luster flows throughout. PCGS reports just one finer example. Population: 8 in 66+, 1 finer (1/20).
