Very Rare Issue in Higher Grades
1841-C $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. Variety 1. The 1841-C Liberty
quarter eagle is a challenging issue from a poorly produced mintage
of 10,281 pieces. This attractive near-Mint specimen displays a
better-than-average strike, with just a trace of actual wear on the
design elements. The pleasing yellow-gold surfaces are lightly
abraded and retain much of their original mint luster. Census: 24
in 58 (1 in 58 ★ ), 6 finer (10/14).(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 54TU, PCGS# 7721)Weight: 4.18 grams
