Elusive AU53 1842-D Two and a Half
1842-D $2 1/2 AU53 NGC. Variety 3-F. A moderately circulated example, devoid of consequential contact and toned in green-gold shades that deepen near the rims. Problem-free Dahlonega quarter eagles are limited relative to the demand from Southern gold specialists. Only 4,643 pieces were struck.
