Elusive 1845-O Quarter Eagle, XF
1845-O $2 1/2 XF40 NGC. The 1845-O quarter eagle had a diminutive mintage of just 4,000 pieces, and examples are scarce in all grades. Delightful yellow-gold patina coats the still-lustrous surfaces. The details are clearly defined, and there are no significant marks. Census: 7 in 40, 48 finer (8/09).From The Mulkin Collection.(Registry values: P2)
