Description
Desirable 1846 AU58 Quarter Eagle
1846 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. That fewer than 20 1846 quarter eagles have been graded as Mint State by NGC and PCGS (and none higher than MS63) indicates high-end AU coins, such as the one in this lot, are the finest most collectors can hope to acquire. Yellow-gold surfaces laced with mint-green tints retain a generous amount of luster, and are quite clean for the grade. Sharp definition adorns the design elements, save for the usual softness in the eagle's right (left facing) leg.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25GZ, PCGS# 7740, GSID# 8267)
