Charming 1846-D Two and a Half MS61
1846-D $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Variety 7-K. This lovely Dahlonega quarter eagle has mildly prooflike fields, while the peripheries retain cartwheel iridescence. Boldly struck throughout, and only a few slender marks on the cheekbone prevent an even finer grade. Census: 4 in 61, 5 finer (12/06).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25H3, PCGS# 7742, Greysheet# 8352)
