Rare MS62 1847 Two and a Half
1847 $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS. This nicely struck representative has ample luster, and the only consequential abrasion is a thin vertical mark near the cheekbone. Although the 1847 half eagle and eagle are common, high mintage issues, the same cannot be said for the quarter eagle, of which only 29,814 pieces were struck. Population: 5 in 62, 1 finer (5/08).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25H5, PCGS# 7744, Greysheet# 8268)
