Description
Condition Rarity 1847 Quarter Eagle, MS62
1847 $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS. The 1847 quarter eagle, with a mintage close to 30,000 pieces, is a rare issue in Mint State. Indeed, only about 30 or so examples have rated Mint State by PCGS and NGC, all but one between MS60 and MS63. Rich peach-gold surfaces with pleasing luster are seen on this sharply struck MS62 specimen.
