Sharp Design Definition
1847-C $2 1/2 AU55 PCGS. Variety 1. A sharply defined Choice
AU Charlotte two and a half, ideal for an advanced Southern gold
type set. An excellent strike for the under-resourced branch
facility. The straw-gold surfaces show only incidental signs of
contact, although a narrow mint-made lamination crosses the
hairbun. The dies are moderately rotated counterclockwise.From The Jersey Shore Gold Collection. (Registry values: P2)
