1847-D $2 1/2 AU55 NGC. Variety 9-M. A pleasing olive-gold representative with minimally marked surfaces. The strike is above average for the Dahlonega Mint, and luster connects the reverse legends and individually illuminates the stars. A mere 15,784 pieces were coined.
