Description

1850 $2 1/2 MS62 PCGS. Although the 1850 quarter eagle is not difficult to locate in lower grades, Mint State examples are very scarce. Intermingled shades of gold, orange, and green are present on both sides of this lovely example. The design elements display a nice level of detail. A couple of as-made strike-throughs appear near the top of the obverse, but there are no contact marks worthy of mention. Population: 20 in 62, 21 finer (5/13).(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 25HG, PCGS# 7755)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
