    Description

1850-D $2 1/2 -- Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU. Variety 13-N. All Dahlonega quarter eagles from the 1850s are scarce and highly sought by branch mint gold specialists. Although the eagle on this example is softly struck, the coin shows only minor effects from a past cleaning and the balance of the devices display solid AU sharpness. Pleasing greenish-gold color remains throughout both sides, with a few light abrasions.
