Scarce 1851-C Two and a Half, AU53
1851-C $2 1/2 AU53 NGC. Variety 1. Luster glimmers from portions of this pale gold Charlotte example. One bright mark between stars 12 and 13, but no other abrasions are of consequence. The centers show moderate parallel roller marks, as made and unusual for the series. A scant 14,923 pieces were coined.From The R.M. Phillips Limited Partnership Collection.(Registry values: P2)
