1852 Quarter Eagle, MS65
Carefully Preserved
1852 $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS. CAC. With a mintage in excess of 1.1
million pieces, the 1852 is one of the more easily obtainable
quarter eagle issues overall of the period, though it becomes
conditionally rare at the Gem grade level. This representative
displays satiny yellow-gold luster and attractively smooth
surfaces. Some minor lightness of strike is noted on the eagle's
left (facing) leg and right talons, as is typical of this issue,
though the devices are otherwise well-defined. Population: 13 in 65
