Description
Conditionally Rare 1854 Quarter Eagle, MS64
1854 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. The 1854 quarter eagle had a mintage of 596,258 coins, ample enough that every collector should be able to obtain an example. However, the date is an important condition rarity with few higher grade Mint State pieces known, as the population shows. This Choice Mint State example has frosty yellow luster with sharp design motifs. A few grade-limiting marks are evident. Also present are heavy reverse clash marks. Population: 20 in 64, 6 finer (10/09).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25HX, PCGS# 7769, GSID# 8276)
