1855-C $2 1/2 AU53 NGC. Variety 1. Substantial luster brightens this unblemished honey-gold quarter eagle. Portions of the major devices are typically impressed, but the stars and dentils are well defined. A difficult Charlotte Mint issue from a meager mintage of 3,677 pieces.
