Scarce 1858 Select Quarter Eagle
1858 $2 1/2 MS63 PCGS. Mint State 1858 quarter eagles are scarce at all levels of preservation. Indeed, PCGS and NGC have graded fewer than 100 Uncirculated examples. Attractive variegated yellow and reddish-gold patina covers both faces of this Select example, complementing lustrous surfaces that exhibit well impressed design elements, save for minor softness in the eagle's leg feathers.
