Lovely 1858 Liberty Quarter Eagle, MS64
1858 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. A stunning near-Gem from a mintage of only 47,377 coins, and a major quarter eagle rarity at this grade level. NGC and PCGS have only certified 11 MS64 examples and just three finer coins, including possible resubmissions. This lovely piece has deep orange toning around frosty yellow centers. The strike is above average, and the surfaces show only trivial marks expected for the grade.
