Description
Problem-Free XF45 1858-C Two and a Half
1858-C $2 1/2 XF45 PCGS. Variety 1, the only known. In spite of the low mintage of 9,056 pieces, the 1858-C is actually one of the more available C-mint quarter eagles. In all grades, there are an estimated 225-325+ pieces known today. This is an attractive coin. Even high point wear is seen on each side, and there is slight striking softness, more on the reverse than the obverse. A clean, problem-free coin for the grade.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25JH, PCGS# 7787, GSID# 8385)
