1859 Two and a Half

1859 $2 1/2 Old Reverse, Type One MS62 PCGS. The broad arrowheads confirm the rare Type One reverse, which comprises a small minority of the mintage of less than 20,000 pieces. The strike is sharp save for the portions of the lower half of the eagle. Generally well preserved, although a curved mark near star 1 limits the grade. Population: 5 in 62, 7 finer (8/08).(Registry values: P2)
