Scarce Old Reverse Variety
1860 $2 1/2 Old Reverse, Type One AU53 PCGS. The Old Reverse
variety of the 1860 Liberty Head quarter eagle accounts for only a
small percentage of the already tiny production total of 22,563
pieces for the year. The present coin is an attractive, sharply
detailed example of this scarce issue. The surfaces are
semiprooflike, with rich, greenish-gold color. Few abrasions are
evident for the grade. Population: 2 in 53, 15 finer
