1861 Two and a Half
1861 $2 1/2 New Reverse, Type Two MS64 PCGS. CAC. The
mintage of the 1861 exceeded the combined production of all other
issues of the denomination from the 1860s, yet Choice Mint State
examples are scarce. This is a lustrous and fully struck olive-gold
quarter eagle with exceptionally smooth surfaces. and remarkable
eye appeal for the designated grade. Population: 76 in 64, 30 finer
