    Description

    1867 Quarter Eagle, AU58
    Low Mintage, Condition Rarity

1867 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. Satiny luster on each side of this near-Mint coin yields subtle hints of reflectivity in the fields, amid warm honey-gold color and well-detailed devices. Scattered light abrasions are the chief indicators of momentary circulation, as little true wear is observed. The 1867 quarter eagle, coming from a mintage of only 3,250 pieces, is rare in this and finer grades. Census: 10 in 58, 7 finer (9/21).
