1868 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. The 1868 is rare in Mint State, from a scant mintage of just 3,625 pieces. This near-Mint example has a pleasingly smooth appearance, with lovely lime and pastel peach accents on each side. It is well struck with only minor highpoint friction and a few tiny marks that appear under magnification. Census: 66 in 58, 19 finer (7/07). (Registry values: P2)
