Not Sold Description
1869 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. The 1869 quarter eagle is an often underrated issue with a diminutive mintage of just 4,320 pieces. Examples are particularly rare in Mint State, which increases collector demand for nice About Uncirculated specimens. A trace of light rub keeps this highly lustrous piece from an Uncirculated grade. Pleasing yellow-gold patina drapes the minimally marked surfaces and complements the sharp design elements.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25KD, PCGS# 7809, GSID# 8293)
