1873 $2 1/2 Open 3 MS64 PCGS. After complaints about the Mint issuing pieces that appeared to be dated 1878 in 1873, the Open 3 logotype went into production. This Choice piece is an attractive example that shows a clear difference between the second and fourth digits. Crisply detailed with lovely luster and few marks on its amber-gold surfaces.(Registry values: P2)
