Description
Low Mintage 1874 Quarter Eagle, MS61
1874 $2 1/2 MS61 PCGS. The modestly reflective sun-gold surfaces show two small copper spots on the obverse rim, one near 4 o'clock and the other just below the first star to the left. Crisply struck and appealing despite a number of wispy abrasions and a line of more significant marks that appears to the left of Liberty's neck. Overall, a high-end survivor from this issue of only 3,920 pieces. Population: 4 in 61, 10 finer (8/07).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25KR, PCGS# 7821, GSID# 8299)
