Desirable Select 1880 Quarter Eagle
1880 $2 1/2 MS63 PCGS. After 1879, San Francisco ceased production of the quarter eagle, and from 1880 on, all Liberty quarter eagles would be struck at Philadelphia; that year's mintage amounted to just 2,960 business strikes. This Select piece is well-defined and minimally abraded with considerable reflectivity in the honey-kissed yellow-gold fields.
