1882 $2 1/2 MS62 Deep Prooflike NGC. Reflective surfaces are typical for Mint State examples of the 1882 quarter eagle, an artifact of its tiny mintage of only 4,000 pieces. Still, it is difficult to imagine another piece with the reflectivity of this amazing example. Boldly impressed devices protrude from lightly abraded fields that offer mirror-like intensity, even from a distance. The only 1882 quarter eagle certified as Deep Prooflike by NGC, and immensely desirable as such (8/07).
