Description

Eye-Catching Near-Gem 1884 Quarter Eagle

1884 $2 1/2 MS64 NGC. With just 1,950 business strikes produced, it is little wonder that the 1884 quarter eagle is elusive in virtually all grades, and coins of near-Gem quality are rarities. This Choice example sports strong, swirling yellow-gold luster and a pleasing strike. A small alloy spot appears to the left of the bridge of Liberty's nose.(Registry values: P2)
