1898 Quarter Eagle, MS66
Exquisite Premium Gem
1898 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. CAC. This exquisite example displays
rich honey-gold luster and is sharply struck. The coin is free from
any abrasions on either side, with its only minute detraction being
a small bit of mint grease in its date and along the olive branch.
At Premium Gem, PCGS has only found 23 numerically finer examples,
and CAC has only endorsed 16 finer pieces (2/26).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25LN, PCGS# 7850, Greysheet# 8323)
