Exquisite Superb Gem 1904 Quarter Eagle

1904 $2 1/2 MS67 NGC. The 1904, like other early 20th century Liberty quarter eagle issues, is heavily collected for type purposes. This Superb Gem would fit readily in such a set with an emphasis on quality. Bold, slightly satiny butter-yellow luster shows echoes of lavender and green close to the rims. Carefully preserved and gorgeous. NGC has graded just four numerically finer examples (9/09).(Registry values: N2998)
