    Description

1857-D $2 1/2 -- Tooled, Cleaned -- ANACS. AU Details, Net VF30. Variety 21-N. One die pair is known to have struck the 2,364 D-mint quarter eagles in 1857. Olive-gold surfaces house wispy marks from cleaning. The devices show signs of tooling on the stars and hair curls.
