    Description

1862-S Good 6, with perhaps no more than 50 pieces extant in all grades combined, this is a very difficult issue to locate, heavily worn on the portrait of Liberty; 1862-S VG 8, much better defined on the obverse than the above coin but more heavily worn on the reverse; and an 1862-S Fine 12, weakly defined with three marks on the lower portion of the jawline of Liberty.
