Description

1867 Liberty Quarter Eagle, AU58
Elusive, Low-Mintage Issue

1867 $2 1/2 AU58 PCGS. The 1867 Liberty quarter eagle boasts a meager mintage of 3,250 pieces, making it an elusive issue in all grades today. This impressive near-Mint specimen exhibits just a trace of friction on the well-detailed design elements and the lightly abraded orange-gold surfaces retain traces of original mint luster in selected areas. An interesting die bulge exists at TES of STATES. Population: 10 in 58, 10 finer (8/20).
