    Description

1875 $2 1/2 -- Whizzed, Repaired -- ANACS. XF40 Details. The 1875 lays claim to the second-lowest circulation-strike mintage among all quarter eagles after the 1854-S. Merely 400 pieces were struck, and those that survive -- about 40 to 60 pieces -- are major rarities. Although this example has been altered in an attempt to improve its apparent quality, it remains an important offering that specialists should seriously consider. Well-struck and certified in a small sized holder.
