1909 VDB Cent, MS67+ Red
Essentially Flawless Surfaces
1909 1C VDB MS67+ Red PCGS. CAC. 30th Anniversary Label. The
Philadelphia VDB cent has always been the go-to issue for type
collectors. For many collectors, it doesn't seem that long ago when
original rolls were available and there was little discrimination
between an MS67 and an MS67+. But the difference now is enormous in
terms of availability and price. This is a carbon-free example with
slight woodgrain surfaces. The strike is strong throughout and no
surface problems can be found. Only 11 pieces have been certified
by PCGS as MS67+ with one piece finer (4/16).(Registry values: N208)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22AZ, PCGS# 2425, Greysheet# 1792)
