1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent, MS65 Red
1909-S 1C VDB MS65 Red PCGS. The 1909-S VDB is the key date
of the Lincoln cent and the sole issue of the series with a mintage
below half a million. The current example displays alluring soft
red luster, and the reverse has a visually striking spotted
appearance. There are no notable abrasions on this piece, though a
scored mark appears across the second T in TRUST and down into the
field. Among the 100 Greatest U.S. Coins (#47 in 6th
